Back by popular demand are the CHEW (Cooking Healthy, Eating Well) classes! This spring, students can look forward to new classes and more of them. For a schedule and more details, go to

The Wellness Lounge in the Student Wellness Center is a great place for students to hang out or study. In addition, this semester we are expanding services and programs to include: nap times, games for checkout, movies, free hugs, fireside chats about health topics and much more! In addition, our well trained 60 Peer Health Educators are available to deliver workshops on a range of health topics in classes or for student organizations. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

LGBTQ Discussion Group: Join fellow students to discuss issues relevant to the SJSU LGBTQ community in a safe and affirming environment. Topics for discussion include: family dynamics, relationships, religion, discrimination, questioning, coming out, having fun and many more! This group meets on Mondays from 3-4:30 p.m. at the PRIDE Center (Mod B - Soon to be in the Student Union). There is no need to sign up, just come on over! Welcome back Spartans! We hope you enjoyed your holiday break and are ready to begin a New Year and new semester! Here are a few key things to know about the Career Center, our programs and how to gain your competitive edge this spring. We have jobs and internships for you!

First you need to create your SpartaJobs profile, then upload your resume, and also be sure to watch our short SpartaJobs tutorial to learn all the hacks in finding jobs and internships by major, field of interest or keywords.

2. Prepare for Career Success: Create a career plan by following our SpartaTrack Career Guide to get started! Stand out from the crowd by identifying and marketing your unique skills and accomplishments. Learn how to develop these top skills by attending our Standing Out Event: Make your SJSU Experiences What Employers’ Want!  

3. Connect with Employers: Networking is the key to job and internship search success! Check out our Spring 2016 Program Calendar and attend one of our career preparation workshops, advising sessions or events. Check the newsletter calendar for dates on all our Job & Internship Fairs.

This partnership is meant to offer you, the students, an even deeper and broader array of tools to help you prepare for your journey into the workforce.
