Student Conduct and Ethical Development works in partnership with faculty and staff
across various departments at San José State University. Faculty and Staff are encouraged
to submit a reporting form when they believe a student violated the Academic Integrity Policy and the Student Conduct Code. Please click on the links below to report alleged violations.
Student Conduct Process
Once an alleged violation is reported to our office, Student Conduct and Ethical Development may initiate the student conduct process (per Executive Order 1098 Effective Date March 29, 2019).
Members of the University community have a responsibility for maintaining an appropriate environment conducive to learning. Disruption of any University activity (teaching, administration, other University activities) or participation in any activity that disrupts the normal operation of the University is a violation of the student conduct code.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit a reporting form when they believe a student violated the student conduct code.
Disruptive behavior can often be mitigated by having a conversation with the student. Refer to "Students with Disruptive Behavior: A Guide for SJSU Faculty & Staff" for additional guidance when dealing with disruptive behavior.
