Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education AASHE is an association of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada working to create a sustainable future.
National Wildlife Federation's Campus Ecology Program promotes climate leadership and sustainability among colleges and universities by providing resources and technical support, creating networking opportunities and organizing education events.
The American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment is a high-visibility effort to address global warming by garnering institutional commitments to neutralize greenhouse gas emissions, and to accelerate the research and educational efforts of higher education to equip society to re-stabilize the earth's climate.

Here's a small sampling of resources available to those wanting to know more about sustainability and what you can do to get involved.

...by issuing a Commitment to Sustainability and Executive Order 987, pledging that all campuses will reduce consumption. Earlier this year, the Chancellor's Office published a Systemwide Sustainability Summary reflecting each campus's sustainability program.
