The best place to beInternational students Pejmun Zargar and Nadia Chandiwala chose to attend San José State University for the same reasons local students attend: location, value and access to scholarship support. Along with other international students, they recognize that living and getting an education in Silicon Valley leads to boundless opportunities and they are grateful to be here.
Hard work and determination are driving forces in Nadia and Pejmun’s quest for an SJSU education. Juggling several jobs at once to cover tuition and expenses has been a challenge. Fortunately, both Nadia and Pejmun have received scholarship support from the C & L Burmahln Endowment, in addition to other honors. They realize that without your generous support through scholarship giving, they would not be here today. |

After coming to the United States, Pejmun was
inspired by our Constitution to pursue his college career in the field of legal
education. Pejmun felt his cultural background helped him overcome obstacles and gave him a diverse and broad view of the world, as well as enhanced his critical reasoning ability, contributing to his education. Pejmun co-founded
and is the president of the Pre-Law Society Club, working with local institutions
to promote their law programs. He looks to pursue a law degree in taxation.
