Official Transcripts

Order your official SJSU transcripts online. Paper copies are mailed out and cannot be picked up.

  • Current students should use their MySJSU Account.
  • Former students must order from our vendor Credentials Inc. You do not need your SJSU ID number to place an order.

Unofficial Transcripts

Log into your MySJSU Account to access your unofficial transcript. If you no longer have access to MySJSU, and you’ve attended after 1991, come in person to Window "R" in the Student Services Center, and we can print an unofficial copy for you (photo ID is required). If you cannot come in person, you must order an official transcript.

Transcript Content

Your transcript is a complete record of all undergraduate and graduate courses taken at SJSU. This includes semesters, course information, grades, cumulative grade point averages, and degree if applicable. Courses taken at another school will not print on your SJSU transcript. 

Delivery Options and Order Processing

Faster - Digital Version

This option is only available to students who attended after 1991. An electronic version of your transcript is available as Secure PDF files and typically processed within one business day.

Slower - Paper Version

This option is available to all students. Paper copies are placed in sealed envelopes. We process requests in 2-3 business days (not including shipping). Standard shipping is by first class mail and delivery times vary based on destination address. Other expedited shipping options are available for additional fees.

If you attended SJSU before 1992, your request may require additional processing time. These orders are only available as the paper transcripts.

Costs

San Jose State University does not charge for transcripts. However, our vendor charges $2.25 per copy to process online orders which includes standard U.S. mail delivery. They offer expedited shipping for an additional fee.

Students may request a free copy of their transcript by using the written request form. Processing time is 4 weeks.

Holds

If you have a hold on your academic record, you will need to clear the hold before we process your order. Contact the department that placed the hold to clear your record.

Cover Letters / Attachments

If your institution requires you to include a cover letter or attachment with your transcript, you can submit a PDF version of your document with your order. We will include your attachment with your transcript.

Order Confirmation / Status

After you place your online order, you will receive an email confirmation with your order number. You will receive another email when we have released your transcript for delivery.
