A course is designated C1-C21, C77and C78 or S23, 24, 25, 36, or 48 to describe the mode of instruction (e.g., lecture, seminar, activity, laboratory, or supervision), the maximum number of students to be enrolled, the number of hours per unit to be scheduled, and the Weighted Teaching Units (WTU) to be assigned to the instructor responsible for teaching the course.
