First-Year Experience

SJSU's First Year Experiences (FYE) are comprised of a variety of classroom experiences, programs, and services designed to help students make a successful transition from high school to college. They include, among others:

The Peer Mentor Center is a resource for students to get help with school work, meet other students and generally get connected with the campus.

Several college-wide programs have been initiated for first year students. These curricular and co-curricular opportunities provide a strong foundation for the success of first year students.
