Paycheck Information

San José State University employees appointed to regular and temporary appointments including faculty, staff and administrators are paid monthly.

Paychecks are distributed to each department contact between 9:00am and 11:00am each payday at University Personnel. Check with your supervisor to find out your department's contact.

Payday for student assistants and intermittent hourly employees is the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a Saturday, pay is available on Friday the 14th, and if the 15th falls on a Sunday, pay is available on Monday the 16th.

Special consultants are paid when proper documentation including invoices are submitted, approved and processed.
