Admissions

**As of June 16, 2009, San Jose State University announced that there will be no Spring 2010 admissions. Individuals interested in applying for Fall 2010 admissions should check back at a later date for those deadlines.

The department admits students to the graduate Master of Urban Planning program in both the Fall and Spring semesters. To complete your application, you must submit materials to two distinct bodies: the SJSU Graduate Admissions Office and the Urban and Regional Planning Admissions Committee. Each has its own timetable. Approval by both offices is necessary to gain admission to the program.

If you are interested in applying for the undergraduate minor in urban studies, please visit our undergraduate minor page for more information on the application process.

If you are interested in completing our certificate programs, please contact the current Graduate Advisor, Professor Hilary Nixon, at hilary.nixon@sjsu.edu, or by phone at 408-924-5852.
