Ms. Kos is a lecturer and certified urban planner with San Jose State University’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Architecture degree from Hampton University in Virginia, and her graduate Master of Regional Planning degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration on housing, real estate and community development. She is also a California certified mediator with a specialization in resolving property and neighborhood disputes.
Ms. Kos has worked for municipal planning departments and private planning firms. Her professional focus has been in the areas of land use, code compliance and affordable housing.
In her free time, she likes to listen to different genres of music. She also enjoys sketching and painting.
