Pre-Admission CounselingPre-admission
counseling
is offered Mondays and Tuesdays, 12:30pm - 4:45pm; Wednesdays and
Thursdays, 8:15am - 12:30pm; and Fridays, 9:00am - 4:30pm in theStudentServicesCenter for prospective undergraduate
students. Pre-admission counseling is an important step in preparing
for college as an undergraduate student. San Jose' State University admission
counselors assist students with understanding admission requirements to
SJSU. If you are an undergraduate student who has
not applied to the university and are here to meet an Admission Counselor then
you are in the right place!
An Admission Counselor will assist
with the following information:
- Review CSU & EOP application
process
- Review the online application
process
- Review admission requirements for
first-time freshman and transfer students
- Review of the A-G subject
requirements, testing, and GPA requirements for first time
freshman
- Review of the Four Basic Skill
requirements for transfer students
The following are services provided
to prospective undergraduate students:
Application Workshops are conducted at
local high schools and community colleges by an SJSU Admission
Counselor to help you understand how CSU Mentor and additional online
resources can assist you.
College Fairs, College Nights, and
Transfer Days are attended by prospective undergraduate students and
their families to obtain information about SJSU. In addition,
this is where you can receive information about our academic programs that are
provided to students at the university.
Presentations
regarding the CSU system or
specific information about SJSU are provided for high school and
community college students at respective school sites.
