The key objectives driving the need for new calendaring solution is to consolidate the increasing number of events, handle the complex approval process, meet the requirements of the community and campus stakeholders. Active Data Calendar (from Active Data Exchange) is the new solution recommended by the calendaring committee. Critical features that Active Data Calendar provides include an inbuilt framework to handle complex workflow, can be configured to use SJSUOnefor authentication, syndicate events in different format and support event notification service. The new calendaring solution was launched on Tuesday, August 18, 2009.
