The university Web templates represent the current approved style for websites inside sjsu.edu. Using the university Web templates will improve consistency in user experience, navigation, and accessibility. Use of the university Web templates is restricted to official university units and officially recognized organizations. Sites using the university Web templates are required to be hosted on university Web servers. The California State University
directive to make all CSU Web sites Section 508 compliant was the driving force behind version 3.0 of the template kit. These templates continue the existing SJSU look and feel while meeting Section 508 requirements and improving usability. This template kit contains six new page layout options, allowing webmasters and content editors flexibility in creating content. The Web Oversight Committee approved these templates on October 17, 2007. The Web template kit was made available to campus webmasters on November 1, 2007.
