ASOR/PacSW Call for Papers
The 2010 Annual Meeting of the Pacific Southwest Region of the American Schools of Oriental Research will be held jointly with the Pacific Coast Region of the Society of Biblical Literature and the Western Region of the American Academy of Religion March 13-15, 2010 at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. Members wishing to present papers should send or email a one-page abstract to the appropriate section chair listed below no later than Oct. 16, 2009. First-time presenters and graduate students are encouraged to submit completed papers. Papers from established scholars are particularly encouraged.
Archaeology of the Ancient Near East
Papers are invited in all relevant geographic regions (Iran, Mesopotamia,
Western Asia, Egypt, Cyprus and the Aegean) and for all relevant periods of
time (prehistory through the Islamic era). They may focus on individual excavation
projects, on thematic or synthetic studies, on issues of method and theory,

Note: You are required to submit one copy of your proposal, no longer than one page, and a completed Program Participant Form to the appropriate section chair.
A Program Participant Form must accompany each proposal submitted. Proposals submitted without this form will not be accepted. Your name and institution will appear in the Program Book as indicated on the form. Please type or print. ALSO, you MUST register and pay the registration fee in order to present a paper and/or attend the conference. Presenters who do not register and pay the fee will NOT be permitted to present in the next WECSOR meeting.
The submission of multiple proposals is not permitted. No individual
may appear more than twice in the program (as presenter, moderator, respondent,
or panel participant).
