Student Food Shelves

SJSU students in need of immediate food assistance have access to a number of small, self-serve "shelves" around the main campus.  At these informal pantries there is no registration process. Students can just stop in and take items as needed. Please click on map for a list of campus pantry locations or see the list below.

CHEW (Cooking Healthy, Eating Well)

Students can sign up for free cooking classes in our new Student Wellness Center. Each cooking class teaches basic cooking skills utilizing affordable ingredients and all participants walk away with free food and useful knowledge. Sign up online. Send your suggestions, questions or comments regarding CHEW classes to sjsudemolab@gmail.com.

Food Shelf Dishes

We've put together short demonstration videos on creating meals using many of the items commonly found at our food shelf locations. For more information, visit http://www.sjsu.edu/wellness/foodresources/eatingwell/ . View information under "Recipes Galore!" section.
