2017 WiE Keynote Speakers
The Silicon Valley WiE Conference is presented by the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering at San Jose State University with the purpose of fostering a community among aspiring women engineers and engineering professionals in Silicon Valley for learning, mentoring and sisterhood.
While women hold 57% of professional occupations in the US labor force in the technology sector they only account for about a third of the workforce. Furthermore women, recent figures suggest that women only fill about 16% of the tech roles and 22% of the leadership roles in the technology sector. The WiE Conference is our effort to contribute to the retention and graduation of women in technology and close the current access gap for women in the technology job market.
Join us for an opportunity to connect with your student peers and professionals while learning and inspiring each other.

What companies will be there?
This is a learning, networking and community building event. While there will be dozens of industry professionals from an array of companies, they will not be here in a recruiting capacity. More than 80 industry professionals attended last year.
Should I bring my resume?
As a rule of thumb, you should never attend a potential networking activity without a copy of your resume. While companies may not be at WiE in a recruiting capacity, there will be opportunities to meet and network with industry professionals.
What is included in my registration?
Access to all conference sessions and activities, conference swag bag, continental breakfast, lunch and dinner.
