Special education pricing is available to students, faculty, and staff for hardware and software.

Hardware

While you are free to buy or lease a computer from any source you choose, Spartan Bookstore offers a wide range of computers from major manufacturers, including Apple, Dell, Gateway, HP, IBM and Toshiba.

San José State has negotiated very attractive pricing on laptops from Apple, Dell and Gateway. The prices currently being offered for laptops are available by calling or visiting Spartan Bookstore (408-924-1808).

Insurance: Spartan Bookstore has contact information for an insurance company willing to sell theft and damage insurance for the laptops.

Software

Several manufacturers have made substantial discounts on software available to students. Be sure to check for education pricing before purchasing software. Spartan Bookstore offers educational pricing.

Thanks to an agreement with the CSU Chancellors office, students will be able to get the full version of Microsoft Office for approximately $80. Spartan Bookstore has Microsoft Office available at this price for students.
