Requirements by Department

The wireless network is accessible from these classrooms and students in selected programs will bring laptops as required instructional material to the classroom. For details about the hardware and software requirements, use these links.

Communicative Disorders and Sciences

All students taking Level 100 or above courses will be required to have a laptop computer starting Fall 2003.

Computer Engineering

Starting Fall 2005 all Computer Engineering students are expected to have access to a wireless laptop for class work.

Computer Science

All students enrolled as Computer Science majors have been required to have a laptop computer since Fall 2004.

Educational Leadership

All candidates enrolled in the Department of Educational Leadership taking level 200 courses are required to have a laptop computer.

Masters of Public Administration

All students enrolled in the Masters of Public Administration Program are required to have a laptop computer.

School of Art and Design

All students in the School of Art and Design are required to own a laptop computer and the appropriate software for their classes.

School of Journalism and Mass Communications

All majors in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications must have a laptop and the software required for the upper division classes (course listings of 100 and above) in their academic programs.

School of Library and Information Sciences

The School requires that all incoming students have computer access at home.
