SJSU Home : Wireless Laptop Pilot Project : Participating Programs Main body content starts here.

Computer Engineering

All Computer Engineering students are expected to have access to a wireless laptop for class work.

Minimum Hardware Requirements:

For PCs:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
120 GB hard disk
1 Gig memory
802.11g wireless card
USB 2.0
Dual boot - Windows and Linux - capability

For Apples:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
80 GB hard disk
1 Gig memory
802.11g wireless card
USB 2.0
Parallels or similar software (Mac OS is already a variant of UNIX)

Minimal Software Requirements:

Microsoft Office. (Microsoft Office software is available at a special purchase price arranged by the Chancellor's Office. Call the Spartan Bookstore for details (408-924-1800.)
