Workshop Registration

The following registration information is for the Writing Center's workshops only. If you want to register for a one-on-one tutoring session, please go to the 'Make an Appointment' page. Requests for tutoring appointments submitted via this form will not be accepted.

Registration for Writing Center workshops begins approximately 2 weeks in advance of the workshop's scheduled date. Workshops that are open for registration are clearly marked on our Workshop Schedule with a red 'OPEN '.

Please read our workshop policies before registering - by signing up for a workship, you agree to abide by the following rules.

  • You must be registered with the Writing Center to attend our workshops. If you haven't already registered with us, please go here and follow the 'Click here to register' link, then fill out the form to sign up.
  • We strongly recommend that you register in advance, as our workshops are extremely popular and fill up quickly.
  • When workshop enrollment reaches capacity, you will be added to a waiting list. We cannot guarantee seating for those on the waiting list, but we will do our best to accomodate you. We will take a maximum of five students on the waiting list for each workshop.
  • Registered and wait-listed students must check in at the workshop location at least 5 minutes before the workshop begins.
  • Workshops start promptly at the scheduled time.
  • Late-comers, registered or not, will not be seated. If you are late, you will not be able to attend the workshop session. No exceptions.
  • Empty seats will be given to wait-listed students during check-in.
  • Do not use cell phones during the workshop. Please set all cell phones to silent or turn them off.
  • No food or drink -- except bottled water -- is permitted in workshops.
  • Children of any age are not permitted at our workshops. For fire safety reasons, we can only accommodate a certain number of people in each room. Please do not bring children or any additional guests with you.
  • Proof of workshop attendance, if needed, can be obtained at the Writing Center after each workshop. To get an attendance confirmation slip, come to the Writing Center immediately after the workshop and show your notes from that workshop to the administrator. Confirmation slips will only be issued on the day of the workshop. Only one confirmation slip will be given to each student, so don't lose it.

Any forms sent in for workshops that are not open, full, or sent by students who have not registered with the Writing Center, will be discarded without notice.

To register, fill out the following form in its entirety. After submitting the form, please wait for confirmation via email. You will NOT be registered for the workshop until you receive a confirmation from us. If you'd like to cancel your registration, you can do so by calling the Writing Center or by filling out this form again and selecting the 'cancel' option.
