One might think it impossible for a retired art teacher/professor to stay in touch with hundreds of former students, but Mark Briggs has done that, and more. He continues to monitor his students' progress well beyond his retirement, maintaining detailed scrapbooks for each, sending photos and letters, visiting, cheering them on and commending their accomplishments. He has driven students to interviews and once lent his tuxedo to a student who couldn't afford to rent one for a dance. He inspires us to be our best, often beyond our initial dreams. We will always be grateful to "Mr. Briggs."
