Activities
ResourcesThe Ted Sahl Archives - A Collection of San José Gay and Lesbian History. Theodore (Ted) Sahl, a local photographer, donated this collection to the San José State University Library. Mr. Sahl is the author of rom Closet to Community: A Quest for Gay & Lesbian Liberation in San José and Santa Clara County. The Archives is a collection of photographs, negatives, essays, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, books and the rough drafts of the book. These materials provide a historical perspective of the San José Gay and Lesbian Community between 1977 and 2001. This collection is in keeping with the focus on local and university history as developed by the SJSU Library Special Collections. Student OrganizationQTIP (stands for Queers Thoughtfully Interrupting Prejudice) is the student group at San Jose State University for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersexed, Allies, Pansexual, and Omnisexual. Including its predecessor organizations (GALA, then GLBTA) there has been a student group at SJSU since 1971. For more information go the the QTIP Web Page. |
