In what was a turning point in the Senate Watergate hearings, Alexander Butterfield revealed on July, 1973, that President Nixon taped conversations in his offices.

I would like you to read the attached copy of Butterfield's testimony, and then write a two page paper in which you compare Butterfield's statements with the way his testimony was reported in the following:

  2. Did all of the accounts recognize the importance of Butterfield's revelations?
  3. Did any of the accounts mention John Dean?
