Voices of Civil Rights http://www.voicesofcivilrights.org/ Created by AARP and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR) this site is divided into several sections. Particularly interesting is the section titled "The Voices" which features stories written and told by people who experienced the Civil Rights Movement first hand. The History Section includes an interactive timeline, a photo gallery and even a music video.

As this page represents a portion of Duke University's Special Collection it is not often updated. The information, however, is very good.

Kingwood College Library: American Cultural History 1960 69 http://kclibrary.nhmccd.edu/decade60.html While this site does contain information and links about the political and military history of the 1960s it will perhaps be best used for its wealth of information on popular culture.
The Sixties Project Website http://lists.village.virginia.edu/sixties/HTML_docs/Sixties.html This site contains both primary and secondary sources on the 1960s and was complied by scholars in the humanities. The project coordinator is Kali Tal, Lecturer in Comparative Cultural and Literary Studies at University of Arizona. Although not the most current information, the contributions to this site are a good source.
The Digger Archives: The San Francisco Diggers (1966 68 and beyond) http://www.diggers.org/ A group who promoted Free Society the Diggers were a typical fringe group in the 1960s. This site is an archive of their printed materials and actions, as well as current actions and writings.
CNN Interactive: CNN Presents the Cold War http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cold.war/ This site contains cultural information about the Cold War. Beware of the "WRITE-A-LONG" as it is fiction written by site visitors! Created by Cable News Network, Inc. As this site presents the information from a show which already aired, there are few additions, however the content is still quite good.

The National Security Archive: Bay of Pigs 40 Years After http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/bayofpigs/ This site contains a timeline and history of the Bay of Pigs Incident, with recommended readings and declassified documents. Created by the National Security Archive for the event, 3/22/01 - 3/24/01. The Bay of Pigs information has not recently been updated as it was based upon the proceedings of a conference, however other information such as the news section is updated on a regular basis.

The Vietnam Project http://www.vietnam.ttu.edu/ This Texas Tech University resource is an excellent virtual as well as physical collection. The Vietnam Archive consists of The Vietnam Centers' collection of primary source materials such as letters from soldiers to family at home and secondary source materials, the Virtual Vietnam Archive of digitized images and other documents, and the Oral History project, which contains digitized interviews with Vietnam Veterans and information for students interested in learning how to conduct interviews. This is an excellent place to obtain primary source material and is easy to search.
