An undergraduate student on academic probation is subject to academic disqualification when the term GPA falls below 2.0.
If you are currently on academic probation, you must earn at least 2.0 term GPA each semester to remain at SJSU.
The President of SJSU may designate a campus official to act to disqualify a student not on probation when the following circumstances exist:
- At the end of any term, the student has a cumulative GPA below 1.00, and
- The cumulative GPA is so low that in view of the student's overall educational record, it seems unlikely that the deficiency will be removed within a reasonable period, as defined by campus academic policy.
Once disqualified, you must complete a Petition for Reinstatement to return to SJSU.
