Major Ashley E. Tasso

Capt Tasso

Major Ashley E. Tasso is the Operations Flight Commander, Detachment 045, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) and the Professor of Aerospace Studies at San Jose State University, California.  She instructs Aerospace Science (AS) 100 for AFROTC cadets.

Major Tasso received her commission from Reserve Officer Training Corps at Florida State University in April 2012.

She has served as a Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Crew Commander, Chief of the 603d Combat Operations Division Space Cell, and as a Space Strategist for the 603d Air Operations Center.  She has developed the Joint Force Air Component Commander’s operational-level, joint airpower strategy and coordinated space effects in support of contingency and crisis-action planning for United States Air Forces in Europe and Africa.
