Rand Schiltz has been an artist, sculptor and metal-smith over twenty-five years. He completed undergraduate work at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and graduate work at San José State University. He has exhibited his cast bronze sculpture locally, nationally and internationally. A recipient of a Fullbright Scholarship, Rand visited Egypt in 2000 to study education, Middle Eastern culture and have a solo exhibition in Cairo. “I enjoy teaching immensely. It gives me the chance to work with new talent and impart knowledge of the craft to beginners. It is their enthusiasm that inspires my own quest.” Rand lives with his wife Kate and two sons in San José, and works out of Creekside Studio at their home.
