The Beethoven Journal

Beethoven Journal coverThe Beethoven Journal is an award-winning English-language periodical devoted to Beethoven and includes substantial essays; reviews of new books, scores, and recordings, the only up-to-date survey of the auction market for Beethoven manuscripts and first editions, and much more.

The Beethoven Journal is intended for everyone interested in Beethoven and his music - from university professors and performers to devoted amateurs and music lovers - who are interested in keeping up with cutting-edge Beethoven scholarship and research, reading reports from major Beethoven festivals and conferences, and who are devoted to understanding him in an ever richer manner.

The Beethoven Journal began publication in Spring 1986 as The Beethoven Newsletter. Beginning with Vol. 10 (Spring 1995), the title was changed to The Beethoven Journal. It appears two times a year (Summer and Winter).
