International Students
As an international student, you have unique circumstances due to work authorization
and employment eligibility. Before starting your job/internship search, be sure to:
- Go to the International Students Advising (ISA) website and/or meet with an advisor to learn about employment eligibility.
- Review our career guides, which cover common topics such as job/internship search, networking, resumes, cover letters, and interviewing.
- Review the International Students Guide [pdf] for additional help on common career topics.
Advising
Use this International Student On-Campus Resource Sheet [pdf] to locate the right office and connect with the appropriate SJSU staff to find the service you need. For career help, meet with a career counselor.
Support Group
Join the International Circle Support Group to connect with other international students, provide support, discuss common challenges, learn information about the U.S., and practice English.
Writing Support
Improve your writing skills and get help from the Writing Center. Schedule a tutoring session, attend a workshop, and/or use their valuable writing resources. Also be sure to refer to online resources and review the "Resources for Multilingual Learners" section.
