Thesis and Dissertation Information

One of the major requirements for earning your Master's degree is completing a thesis, project or comprehensive examination. Many programs do not offer all three options. The requirements for projects and comprehensive examinations vary considerably by program. (See your advisor for guidance on these.) All theses, however, must follow university guidelines, as must dissertations (a common requirement for Doctoral degrees).
