Admitted Spartan Day

Welcome, Admitted Spartans!

Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to the Department of Communication Studies at San José State University. We are thrilled that you may soon be joining our community!

We are proud to serve more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Communication is at the heart of the human experience. In our department, we emphasize the power of communication to create and shape our social worlds. Communication Studies faculty are here to support your journey from your first day on campus to the day you walk across the stage at graduation.

We wish we could welcome you to campus on Admitted Spartan Day, but the Communication Studies Department will be participating in SJSU’s first-ever virtual open house!

Enjoy this short video introduction to our department!

Check out our recorded webinar held on Saturday, April 18 with an introduction to the major and a Q&A session with questions from your fellow Admitted Spartans to our department chair and faculty!
