Seong Koo Lee is a professional architect and researcher currently working for UC Berkeley as a research specialist for 3D printing and Mass-Customization. After graduating with B.E and M.E from Korea University, he received his M.Arch from UC Berkeley. He was the recipient of the Gerson Memorial Prize 2013 from UC Berkeley which recognizes one graduating M.Arch student for overall design excellence as exhibited through his or her coursework. Before coming back to UC Berkeley for his Masters degree, he worked for SmithGroupJJR since 2005 as a project designer. His experience includes healthcare, retail, workplace, hotel, educational, and government (OBO) projects. Prior to joining the firm in  the United States, he trained at Korea University Architecture Design Lab II and Beyond Space Group in Seoul, South Korea. 

At San Jose State University, Seong K. Lee teaches fundamental architectural drawing to students.  He strongly believes that a university education is not only a great experience for students but also for instructors because sharing ones knowledge and skills with students allows for fresh stimulation and intellectual growth in the instructor as well.
