in march of 2001, sarrafan made history by directing, shooting, editing, and presenting a 30 minute short called "the mess in the scene" at the cinequest film festival. the improvised comedy was shown to a full house at the closing night gala.
sarrafan auteured widely publicized multi-award winning music video: "Surprize Packidge". a music video for the Beastie Boys member Mix Master Mike. it was shown on MTV, VH1, and other international venues February 1999.
in march of 2000, the award winning production of The Donnas' "Skin Tight" music video exploded on MTV, VH1, PBS, and international music channels. The video was the pick of the week in The Rolling Stones' website and other online venues. It has been showcased in South by South West Int'l film festival and has won awards in other competitions.
sarrafan began acting and playing
music at an early age. his first film, "Mr. Book", was
made when he was thirteen and was shown on national television.
His films have won numerous strategic national and international
awards. his independent feature film "Sting of Chance"
is in limited release and successfully opened in the bay area
and los angeles area theaters.
as an Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' award recipient
he got introduced to the hollywood scene and has accumulated a
wealth of experience and recognition in both film and television
production.
as a filmmaker/editor/designer/special fx artist, he has worked
on:
episodics such as Law & Order, Fame LA, Magnificent Seven,
New York Undercover, Ultra Force, Soldier of Furtune, Pinky &
the Brain, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Sailor Moon, and Sea Quest.

Sea World Special, Disney Special, the Ace Awards, American Film
Institute Tribute, American Music Awards, and the Kennedy Center
Honors.

Moll Flanders, Steel, numerous Movies of the Week, commercials,
and Music Videos for Henry Rollins and Michael Jackson.
sarrafan is currently working on his second feature film project called "pizza wars". the feature is going to be shot in northern california and los angeles in the summer of 2001.
