The San José State University Geology Department offers a field-based mapping course every year. The course is split into two sessions: a spring session and a summer session. The spring session (129A), or a similar introductory field mapping course, is required in order to register for the summer session. The summer session offers the choice of a 4-credit, 30-day course (129B) or a 2-credit, 24-day course (129C). Either one of the summer courses, in conjunction with the spring introductory field course, will satisfy the SJSU Geology department field camp requirement.
NOTE! All dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Check back in December or January for updates.
2021 Spring Field Camp (129A) will be led by Kim Blisniuk in an on online mode from March 29 and complete on April 2. The course in a normal year has a $400 fee in addition to tuition. The Field Trip fee for Spring 2021 has been refunded for those enrolled and suspended for future enrollment.
2021 Summer Field Camp will be led by Ryan Portner & Kim Blisniuk.
