Food Service
We have 7 dining facilities on campus. The largest is the Student Union Food Court which features several restaurants that serve convenient entrees ranging from soups
and salads to delicious, freshly prepared sushi. The Grounded café, offers healthy, fresh organic and vegetarian food, and organic, fair-trade
coffee and teas. At Just Below, you can get a wide variety of natural and organic products including Greek yogurt, cheese snacks,
vegan burritos, whole-grain crackers, dried fruit and nuts, and noodle bowls. The
On Fourth Café, offers a wide variety sandwiches, pastries, cakes and cookies, as well as a delicious
coffee and espresso menu. Street Eats serves "street food" such as Vietnamese Sandwiches, Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, Lamb Pita
Wraps and more.
Students who live in university residence halls or apartments can get their meals in the Dining Commons, which also offers Vegetarian and Vegan food choices. For the convenience of Campus Village residents, the Village Market, a small food shop located at the bottom of Building B, offers fresh produce, drinks, and prepared food items.
Housing Options
All admitted first-time freshmen from outside a 30 mile radius of SJSU are required to live on campus for their first year. University Housing and the International House qualify as on-campus
housing to meet this requirement. Students required to live on campus will receive
first priority. (If you are an international student with family living in the San
Jose are, you may be eligible for a waiver)
University Housing Services: The university residence halls and apartments at SJSU are more than just a place to eat and sleep. They are living and learning communities. Visit the University Housing Services website for information about living on campus and the programs and services that University Housing offers.
International House: SJSU’s International House is a co-ed residence for 70 U.S. and International students attending San Jose State University. The I-House is located within a 5 minute walk of the SJSU campus. It is a large, comfortable home with friendly students from over 35 countries.

Off-campus Apartments: If you wish to live off-campus, after your first year, rental apartments are also
