H&A Transfer Spartan Orientation
|Register For Classes||Attend Orientation||Next Steps|
Welcome new transfer H&A Spartans! We at the H&A Student Success Center are extremely excited in welcoming you to SJSU. Orientation is required for all new students and must participate in its full duration. Don't miss any of the important dates. Any changes to the information here will be updated as soon as possible.
To prepare you for Orientation, you'll get an invite to Humanities and the Arts Transfer Orientation on Canvas between April 27 and May 11 via SJSU email based on when you complete the Admissions Next Steps requirements. Make sure to keep a lookout for an email from the H&A Student Success Center in your SJSU email inbox. It's critical that you accept it from your SJSU email, or you won't be able to access the platform.
All incoming transfers have been given an SJSU email address, which you can access here. If you are having issues accessing your SJSU email, please follow this link for further information and assistance.
After you accept the Canvas course, please review the information before Pre-Orientation and Advising in May.
On Canvas, you'll learn more about degree requirements, and have an opportunities to explore and find resources you'll need for a successful transition to SJSU. The modules are designed to guide you on the registration process and provide you recommendations on what a good workload for your first semester at SJSU could look like.
Transfer Orientation is a two-part event this year. Take a look at the sheet below to see when majors are holding their sessions.
Advance Registration for New Students begins June 7 and ends Monday, Aug. 16.
Enrollment Appointments (registration access time) are viewable on MySJSU on June 4,2021.
Please view your enrollment appointment to determine when you are eligible to register and then enroll in courses!
If you need assistance with course registration, please refer to the Humanities and the Arts Transfer Orientation on Canvas to check how to connect with an H&A SSC Academic Advisor for course registration and advising in June.
The second mandatory part of your new transfer student orientation is SET an event that is organized by NSFP. Follow the link here for more information on orientation specifically.
