The $1,000 scholarships are awarded to Hispanic students. Students must submit a personal profile consisting of name, address, phone number, Social Security number, age, ethnic background, and college major; a photograph; a one-page essay outlining their financial situation; official, sealed transcripts demonstrating that the applicant is a college sophomore, junior, or senior with at least a 3.0 GPA; two letters of recommendation; and a two-page essay.
