Welcome (back), Global Spartans! Our Fall International Welcome is open to all students, and is a great way to meet new friends and form new connections. This fun, interactive social event is hosted by your Global Leaders and is part of SJSU's Weeks of Welcome program. Celebrate the start of fall semester with us!


Food & Culture Blog Series

ISSS has partnered with Prof. Jamie Kubota and her students in the Nutrition, Food Science & Packaging program to bring you a series of Food & Culture blog posts.

  • St. Patrick's Day with recipes for Irish Soda Bread and Colcannon (mashed potatoes & cabbage).
  • Dumpings from Around the World with recipes for chicken & dumplings, empanadas, pierogies, samosas. Yum!
  • Cinco de Mayo history in Mexico & the U.S. along with an introduction of popular Cindo de Mayo foods in Mexico.
