Cristina Carrillo completed her MA in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology from San Jose State University in 2017. During her graduate career at SJSU she worked as a research interventionist for a Diabetes Prevention Study; a project conducted by Stanford and the San Jose State Research Foundation. This invaluable experience provided the foundation for her passion in teaching and research. Ms. Carrillo is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified exercise physiologist (EP-C). Along with sharing her knowledge as a lecturer at SJSU she also works as a personal trainer that specializes in training high risk individuals. In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, hiking, and traveling.
