What is your approach to advising?
Welcome all! Appreciative advising best suits my style. I commit to actively listen to you, identify your aspirations, energize your dreams, brainstorm ideas and solutions, set goals, help you seek support, and follow up.  As your advocate, I want to empower you to be in charge of your educational journey. I aim to engage in both meaningful and reflective conversations about your goals and academic decisions which will help lead to greater self-awareness and responsibility. One thing I learned throughout my college career was to never downgrade your dream, upgrade your conviction. Also, share your story…YOU MATTER!

What's the best class you've ever taken?
I took a 1 unit kickboxing class in my undergrad. I learned great form, proper technique, and received an amazing workout. In graduate school, my favorite class was Seminar in Counseling Techniques. I learned a whole lot about interviewing skills, technique, philosophy, and theory as it applied to counseling.
