Meet the Tutors
Aaron Chang
Major:
Business Administration: Business Analytics
Internship:
I was an intern at Santa Clara County in the Registrar of Voters Department. I was
an IT Support Specialist.
Why did you become a tutor?
I enjoy helping others learn and grow as it also helps me grow as a person. I've also
taken a lot of classes where concepts can be confusing and needed to reach out to
others in order to understand them. I want not only to help and be there for others
but also further my understanding of these concepts as well.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
I would say that the most important skill to hone is time management. It's easy to
procrastinate and cram but that just leads to a lot of stress. Organize your time
and stay on top of assignments and due dates in order to avoid a headache later on.
I recommend starting assignments as soon as they're assigned and working a little
bit at a time.

Major:
Business Administration: Finance
Internships: I have not had an internship yet, but I am going to be a multifamily real estate intern at Freddie Mac this summer.
Student Organizations: I am a member of the Banking and Investment Association, Financial Management Association, Blockchain Club, and the Ski and Snowboard Club.
Why did you become a tutor: It is really convenient to work on campus and I thought that tutoring would be fun and easy.
What advice do you have for incoming students? I recommend using Quizlet to study for exams, it's so clutch. Also, just ask me if you need a Quizlet for any of your classes, I have made one for every test in every class I've taken since high school, so chances are I might have one for a class that you are in right now.

Why did you become a tutor? I became a tutor because I believe expanding my knowledge and skills in communication and problem-solving would be a great opportunity while teaching new questions would bring in more confidence for both of us me as a tutor and a student.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Just don't panic finals can be aced if we solve and expand our thoughts

Major:
Business Administration, Concentration in General Business
Why did you become a tutor?
I became a tutor because I personally know how hard classes can be. It is a great
feeling being able to share my knowledge with other students and help them understand
challenging concepts in their classes.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Don't be afraid to ask for help. I know it can be intimidating to seek out help when
you need it, but take advantage of all the resources that SJSU offers to you.

What advice do you have for incoming students? Making connections, leveraging the university resources, and reaching out for help. College can be overwhelming sometimes so make sure to stay on top of your work, and have fun!
