Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

Accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) represents our programs having curriculum which meets certain rigerous standards, that our programs qualify our students to practice at their degree level, that our programs have established and adhere to reasonable policies and proceedures, and that San José State University lends it's support. This process is similar to the Joint Commission accreditation that hospitals strive to achieve.

The master's degree programs in nursing at San José State University, The Valley Foundation School of Nursing, is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at San José State University (as a partner in the California State University Northern California Consortium DNP, a consortium of CSU Fresno and San Jose State University) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
