Bio

Dr. Paul received her PhD in physics from the University of California, Davis in 2012. As a member of the Physics Education Research group, she investigated the interactions between students and instructors in interactive classrooms and contributed to the development of the Real-time Instructor Observing Tool (RIOT). Her research interests are under the umbrella of physics and astronomy education and include active learning techniques, assessment, instructor professional development, models/modeling, and graduate student teaching assistants. Dr. Paul is an avid runner, and also enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and of course discussing physics, astronomy, and education.
