Raman Spectrometer with Photomultiplier

Housed in Science building, basement, room 39

It is a double pass spectrometer with a holographic grating with 1800 lines/mm, with a resolution of less than a wave number. An attached optical microscope enables one to study Raman Spectra various chemicals. Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) can also be done with this spectrometer.

Raman Spectrometer, Model# HR 320

Housed in Science building, basement, room 39

This is a spectrometer with a grating of 1200 lines/mm. A separate optical microscope enables one to study Raman Spectra  of various chemicals. Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) can also be performed with this spectrometer.

Zygo Interferometer

Housed in Science building, basement, room 41

It is a Fizeau Interferometer with software and can be used to test optics.

Holographic Lab

Housed in Science building, basement, room 39A

This lab is equipped with two vibration-free Optical Tables made by Newport Corporation (4¡¯x6¡¯ and 4¡¯x8¡¯), several He-Ne lasers and a water-cooled Argon Ion laser. It has several optics components to setup a holographic recording.

Research Grade Optical Tables

Housed in Science building, basement, room 39

There are several Optical Tables (Newport Corporation) with optical components available for research.
