Human Factors
Industrial Design
SJSU researchers are studying ways to create smarter environments for better living. This includes the study of how healthcare spaces are laid out, the ways in which robots interact in human environments, and the smarter grocery stores with autonomous checkouts.
Behavioral Impact on Space Exploration
SJSU researchers are studying the ways in which humans impact space travel including the capabilities and limitations of people to help create safer launches and missions.
Behavioral Health
Research in behavioral health spans the gamut from studies on how to decrease stigma in marginalized communities to how to create more culturally responsive delivery of services in an effort to have greater efficacy. Furthermore, through many outreach outlets such as the Healthy Development Community Clinic, SJSU personnel are providing services to the community.
