The Office of Research, the Center for Faculty Development, the SJSU Research Foundation, and the SJSU Tower Foundation collaborate together to offer a variety of programs and resources designed to assist students and faculty in honing their research interests. The CSU system offers many grant opportunities for faculty and students across disciplines. They include: COAST, which seeks to advance our knowledge of marine and coastal resources; CSUPERB, which funds a range of disciplines, including: life, physical and clinical sciences, computer science, engineering, and business; the CSU Transportation Research and Workforce Development, which addresses transportation-related needs across California; ARI, which works to make California’s food and agricultural systems more resilient and sustainable; and WRPI, an organization focused on water-related research and educational projects. Additional Opportunities
Graduate Student Research Stipends via ARDRAW Small Grant Program:The Social Security Administration (SSA) is granting graduate students $10,000 stipends to research work, rehabilitation and disability. The objective of the Analyzing Relationships between Disability, Rehabilitation and Work (ARDRAW) Small Grant Program is to foster new analysis of work, rehabilitation, and disability issues, which may develop innovative and fresh perspectives on disability by providing research stipends to a broad spectrum of graduate students. Deadline to apply: March 1, 2019.
