Undergraduate and graduate students working with College of Science faculty on RSCA-related projects will present their work in an all-College poster session.

ISSSSC Student Research Fair

The Institute for the Study of Sport, Society and Social Change (ISSSSC) will hold a Student Research Fair coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Olympic protests and the Olympic Project for Human Rights in October 2018. Teams of 3 students (undergrad or grad) will work with faculty advisors on research projects related to sport, social justice and social change and present conference-style posters at a special event to be tentatively held on October 15, 2018 (time and location TBD).

Professor Pesek Wins National Award for Research at an Undergraduate Institution

The American Chemical Society has recognized Professor Joseph Pesek’s substantial and impactful research contributions with the ACS Award for Research at an Undergraduate Institution sponsored by the Research Corporation for Science Advancement.

SJSU Student Research in the News

The CSU blog highlights recent accomplishments by SJSU students, including participation in the CSU-wide Student Research Competition and recipients of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.

Tokens on the Small Screen: Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders on Prime Time and Streaming Television

The Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders on Prime Time and Streaming Television study was funded in part by SJSU RSCA and ERFA funds.  Five faculty, six Principal Investigators (SJSU and non-SJSU) in collaboration with seven SJSU students and twenty-three non-SJSU students developed this study to engage in public sociology, hoping to affect some change in the entertainment industry.
