CARES Act Participant Communication on Coronavirus-related loans and withdrawals from retirement accounts
For participants in the SJSU Research Foundation Retirement Plan: please read the memo at the link below to learn about the options available to you as a result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, as they relate to your TIAA retirement account.
The Timpany Center is temporarily closed until at least May 3, 2020. While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the Timpany Center, every effort is being made to protect the community with this temporary closure. Additional details are on the Timpany Center website.
- Concern EAP: All employees are eligible for employee assistance through Concern EAP. Visit the CONCERN EAP website for details or call their toll-free number: 1-800-344-4222. You will be asked for a company code, which is SJSU Foundation.
- AXA Employee Assistance: All benefited employees are also eligible for employee assistance through the AXA Employee Assistance Program.
Vacation and Sick Leave Balances

Research Foundation Updates
SJSU Research Foundation Central Office employees are now telecommuting. We remain available and responsive to serve the SJSU research community. All services and support continue as usual. Our employees are available via email, Google Hangouts, Google Meet, Zoom, and telephone to respond to your inquiries and address your needs.
Employee Payments and Reimbursements
All payments and reimbursements are now being made electronically via ACH. To ensure that your payments or reimbursements are processed in a timely manner, please complete an ACH Enrollment Form. Your payment or reimbursement will be deposited directly into your designated bank account. The ACH Enrollment Form is available on the Research Foundation Forms Page.
The Research Foundation is unable to process paper checks at this time. To ensure that payments are processed in a timely manner, all vendors are asked to complete an ACH Enrollment Form. The Research Foundation building is closed and there is no USPS delivery to our building. Our staff, however, is continuing to work remotely. Please email all invoices and travel reimbursement requests to email@example.com. Please utilize DocuSign whenever possible.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is unable to deliver mail to our building as it is closed.
