Sophia recently completed a paper on Desirable or Dangerous? The Turban's Sojourn in the American Imaginaire, From the 1830s to Post 9-11, which won the SJSU Research Competi-tion and will be presented at the CSU Research
Competition in May 2013. An active member of two honor societies, Sophia participates
in community events search AS La Mesa Verde - a Program that provides backyard gardens for low-income families to aspiring teacher. She is currently a teacher's aide in a math program designed
to help underachieving students per-form at grade level. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going on hikes, and spending time with friends

Laura is an active member of Kappa Delta sorority and serves on its Executive Council
as Vice President -. Operations In 2012 she received the Emerging Leader Greek of the Year Award from Student Involvement

Carissa currently serves as the vice president of the Society of Women Engineers (2012-2013),
organizing outreach events to encourage women to pursue a degree in STEM. In 2012, Carissa traveled to Taiwan and China as a Global Technology Initiative Scholar,
where she visited tech companies, universities, and cultural sites for two weeks in

Skylar Transferred to SJSU last year from Colorado to advance her international business

Harte High School as the salutatorian (2010). A photographer for San Jose State University's student newspaper, The Spartan Daily,

Mary graduated magna cum laude from SJSU with a BA in Liberal Studies and a minor
in Business (2011). Mary is passionate about education and enabling others to succeed. She began working in preschools and as a nanny before becoming a Student Assistant
in SJSU's Humanities Honors Program (2008-2011). After graduation, she worked as a SAT Prep Instructor for Upward Bound (2011-2012)
and as a Scholarships Associate at Silicon Valley Community Foundation (2012-present).

Joey has recently been accepted into the Naval Officer Program, PLC (Platoon Leaders
Class). Upon graduating from SJSU, he will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine
