Climate Change Lessons
1. FireWorks EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM: This program provides students with interactive, hands-on materials to study wildland fire. It is highly interdisciplinary and students learn about properties of matter, chemical and physical processes, ecosystem fluctuations and cycles, habitat and survival, and human interactions with ecosystems. Students using FireWorks ask questions, gather information, analyze and interpret it, and communicate their discoveries.
2. GO GREEN LESSON: This lesson teaches students the impact of climate change on plant survival. Students will observe how variation in temperature can affect the photosynthetic rate of plants by performing a simple experiment with Elodea.
